Still fascinated with this... Currently i'm veiwing 'Pearl Harbour' , Check the attachment.

You can see the USS Arizona - now an untouched memorial, with the sailors still in place and oil still leaking from the hull. You can also see the USS Utah on the other side of the island.

It's not much to look at really

it is if u know what you're looking at - check out the size/height of hangar 18. check the missile launchers at the ends of the 2 extended 3 mile runways, it's got it's own baseball field - check out the 'under ground' works going on to the west of the site disapearing into the hills/under ground. aliens down there, ya know... honest.

failing that, head south west ( i think) to the testing ground for all the nuclear wars heads in the 50s and 60s - u can see all the crater marks. turn on the 'google community' tab and they're all listed - each one was named.

You can see the nudist colony just along from Throckley. and if you look hard enough you might see some people with there duds off. honest.

You said yourself that most of the stuff that goes on there must be underground. If you take a look at the overhead satellite pic you dont really have much to look at in comparison.
