Its not a bandwith issue really, just got a live set I wanna put up on the website but dont want people to be able to rip/download/share on soulseek.

ram files mean you have to use Real Audio and Real Player = loss of sound quality, shit, etc.

What you need in to create an m3u file so you can stream mp3's.

    Here me now: CLICK HERE.

    Not possible.

If it can be played through the sound card it can be turned in to mp3 format and shared on all the usuall suspects.

The only way to do it is not share it.

A set by a certain bright young star perchance? ;)

Is impossible to do unfortunately. When is that competition thingy that he wants you to keep the recording quiet for? Can you not share it after he's done that?

 big hammers oot the day like... lol

I just think it would be better to keep the mix to urself darkdrums, it would be nice to hear it, but if its been requested to keep it to yourself i think its best to respect that.

letting mixes out is good for promoting the night, but word of mouth works just as good. If ppl want to hear the music they should turn up, not wait for the mp3

If ur worried about ppl ripping off the tunes etc....only way to do is is to have a LOW quality version up on the site.

If u put full quality one on then ppl can(will) rip the stream.

I would say as long as its less than 128k it wont be worth stealing yet will still be listenable - 96k shud be ok.

doesnt do the mix/song justice tho, thats the problem.......

... its still going to make the tracks old before they're out there, which would be the main reason for not wanting it on soul seek in the first place.

Who wants to buy an album full of music you heard months before hand?

I would rather not put a bad quality stream out.

I guess people will just have to be patient.

    Should be cool by March.

    :)
