friday seems to be "the funk room" Glasgow's premier funk night ' Guardian Guide Get back to the funk with our monthly night The Funk Room with residents Andrew Divine! and Simon BigBeat, plus special guests including the best international funk djs and artists, with live music from some legends of the soul and funk scene. Past guests have included the James Taylor Quartet, Breakestra, The Soul Destroyers, Chris 'Beans' Geddes, Keb Darge, Mr Scruff and The New Mastersounds! saturday "mish mash" The music policy at Mish Mash has long been revered and worshipped by the many dedicated followers who rate having a good time over a particular genre. Residents DJ Oscar and friends play a selection of classics from dance hall jazz and deep house via Latin percussive tracks, and obscure reggae to classic soul via the deepest funk. Mish Mash literally has something for all. All the energy of a carnival but, within four walls! A live interactive DJ/musician performance leaving no stone unturned… might not be the best weekend to visit the arches!
