DJ Entry • Music policy is all types of house / trance / progressive / breaks and associated genres • The competition is open to single DJs and DJ groups / collectives • DJs must register on our Facebook page: www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=66784987636 • For groups the primary contact only need register • Please send ONLY ONE DEMO. Due to sheer numbers we will only judge the first 30 minutes of each demo • Demos must be submitted in either Audio CD or CD MP3 format • Your demo must have contactable details attached or written on your CD. • DJs that successfully make it will be notified by telephone. At this time you will be told the date you will be playing. • Winner / Winners need to give a minimum of 24hrs notice if they are unable to make their set. • Failure to comply with rules stated in this document may lead to disqualification 2. Competing DJs • DJs must only use music they have either purchased legally or produced themselves, we do not endorse the theft of music and the cost for being caught is disqualification • Competitors must submit track listings after their set in the interest of copyright / royalties • Equipment available will be 3 * CDJ 1000 MkII’s, Pioneer DJM800, 2 * Technic 1210 MkII * • DJs may use their own Laptops. LAPTOPS MUST BE SETUP AND READY TO GO IN ADVANCE OF THE START OF THE FIRST COMPETITON DJS SET. • The DS.NE team accept no responsibility for loss or damage to your equipment • DJs must arrive and register no later than 30 minutes before the scheduled start time set out in the below section • Competition for all entries close Monday 28th March, winner / winners will be announced Tuesday 29th March 2011 3. Venue and Times The start times for the winning Guest DJs will feature at 9pm. Venue opening times are follows: 9-4am. 4. Judges • Judges will be chosen by The DS.NE team and will be respected members of the music industry 5. Judging Criteria Entries and stage winners will be judged using the following criteria: • Quality of music / tunes • Technical mixing ability • Originality (musical journey) General terms and conditions 1.By registering on our Facebook page you give us permission to contact you about carefully selected information or material via email, mail and telephone. a.
