Excuse me for self promoting myself because any DJ that makes it did it by sat on their arse doing fuckall and waiting for the phone to ring for that big booking.

The Internet is a powerful tool my friend and if you want to get anywhere these days you have to self promote youself as no fucker is going to do it for you. I have no trumpet to blow, i've got where I have through 2 and half years of hard work and countless posts and mixes. I've never forced anyone to listen to my stuff or been big headed in anyway. All I have ever done is stick up a post with a new mix or a new show or a new gig i'm doing. If you don't like it, trot on.

There are loads of other DJ's out there who do the same. DJX2 for example, puts up way more mixes than me on way more forums but you can't knock him for that. He gets gigs, he does radio shows that have big name guests and is well respected by a lot of top producers whon send him their latest stuff. He gained all this because of the self promotion.

I don't see why you had to pick on me in particular but I guess if that's what you want to do, fine go ahead. It won't stop me doing what I love doing and I can hardly see my residencies been cancelled through it. Happy New Year

Erm incase you hadn't noticed I haven't posted any mixes in this forum dickhead and i'm from Middlesbrough not America. If anything your name is more American than mine. You actually whine like Ross from Friends come to think of it. And on another note the Music forum is meant for music discussion and for advertising Radio shows etc, ther's plenty that do it. big name dj's put up mix's as well as a lot of new talent , if you dont like it dont listen to it, bit un fair bto mate & think you should give people a chance , the lads not done much wrong apart from puting this in the music forum..

Take the piss for an incredible amount of posts???? I do one a month for my monthly show and put up about 3 mixes a month. I never claimed to have millions of bookings but I am getting more and have got them through promoting myself. I recently played Essence in Banbury and have secured a monthly residency at The Purple Onion in Middlesbrough where I will playing alongside Activa in January, Kuffdam in Febuary and Greg Downey in March.
