The health industry in the USA lets anyone with money get anything 'legal' as long as you pay the right people. He basically found doctors who would give him what he was addicted to (for many years) which unfortunately eventually finished him off. Dunno if you can blame the doctor though since he was only being paid to perform a service. I wonder if the doctor will be done for murder now.
From what's been said it sounds like he's been addicted to the stuff. If people get to that stage and don't get help, it's only a matter of time before they take too much
